Post-Operation + Scar Tissue Massage

Manually working scar tissue, when approved by a doctor and client, is an important part in post-op care. Scar tissue massage can improve the texture, size, and color of an external scar as well as break up scar tissue and adhesions deeper under the skin. Scar tissue massage pressure typically ranges from light to medium and includes techniques such as cross-fiber friction, manual lymphatic drainage, myofascial and  therapeutic touch.

At the end of our scar tissue work, I will share techniques with you that you can take home to work on the scar outside of our sessions.

Gender Affirming Surgery

Top surgery, breast reduction, and breast augmentation all result in gender affirmation and a scar to tell the tale. I love to tend to these scars with a combination of therapeutic and myofascial manual techniques as well as manual lymphatic drainage in the neck, chest, and arm pit to help with post-op swelling. Working the scar tissue will help with appearance, healing, swelling, and mobility! Whenever you are ready to work on your scars post-op, I would love to work with you.

Cesarian Section Aftercare

C-sections cut through six layers of tissue, meaning there is a lot of opportunity for the presence of scar tissue. There are a lot of emotions, experiences, and tenderness associated with a c-section scar. It's a vulnerable spot on the body associated with vulnerable experiences! Through slow, gentle, and consensual manual touch, I will work to soften and break up the scar tissue that has formed in your lower abdomen. Through scar tissue work, sensation will return to the area over time, and your scar will appear and feel smaller.
